Score reviews and readings
Book a session with Danielle to read and review your harp parts!
do you wonder if...
your music will sound the way you envision?
Did you notate it correctly?
Will a harpist actually want to play it?
Let's face it. There are a lot of details that go into writing for the harp.
Regardless of whether you're writing a solo composition or a harp part for a larger work,
you still have to think about everything that goes into playing and reading the music.
Are the notes, chords, and patterns playable on the harp?
Are the pedal and lever changes possible and formatted correctly?
Will the extended techniques sound the way I think they will?
How should I prepare the score for page turns?
Let me guide you!

Here are some Frequently Asked Questions:
1. What does a session include?
Depending on the type of session, you'll either meet with me via Zoom or receive a video review. In either case, I walk through the score with you, play examples, and offer comments and suggestions. We'll review both the playability of the notes and the formatting. After the meeting (or attached with the video review), you will receive a PDF of your score with my annotations and comments.
If you had a Zoom session, you can get one follow up review via email if you want me to double check any changes.
2. How long of a session do I need?
The length of the session depends on the number of pages you need reviewed, as well as the style, density, non-standard elements, and prior harp writing experience! For reference, you can expect an average of 7 pages in an hour session.
3. Do I get written edits?
After the review session, you'll receive a PDF score with written notes. You will be responsible for implementing these changes into the engraved score.
4. Do you offer recordings?
Yes! After we work together on your score via a review session, we can discuss recording options.
